Packaging Europe awards R-Cycle in the category Driving the Circular Economy

The trade magazine Packaging Europe has honored R-Cycle with the Sustainability Award 2022 in the category "Driving the Circular Economy". The award is the world's most prestigious prize for sustainable packaging innovations. Among 360 entries from across the global plastic packaging value chain, R-Cycle made it to the top. The award ceremony took place at the Sustainable Packaging Summit in Lisbon, September 13-14, 2022.

Dr. Benedikt Brenken, Director of R-Cycle, said: "This award means a lot to us and motivates us to continue to drive the dissemination of digital product passports with R-Cycle. Data-based management of material streams is key to the circular economy. The Sustainable Packaging Summit was the ideal platform to exchange views on this topic with high-profile interlocutors."

The Sustainability Awards are independently judged by a panel of experts representing a cross-section of the international packaging value chain, including leading brand owners, retailers, sustainability organizations, and waste management, scientific and industry experts.
